Route 1 starting at the Munich airport, through Munich, passing Murnau and past the Wieskirche:
Starting at the Munich airport, drive to the Zentralallee and then about 5 km to the freeway junction Munich airport A92. After about 12 km at the interchange Neufahrn to the freeway A9. After about 30 km at the freeway connection point Munich Munchen-Schwabing, keep right and file onto the highway B2 in the direction Mittlerer Ring. Through Munich, follow the signs "Autobahn Garmisch-Partenkirchen".
After about 1.5 km, turn left onto the Schleissheimer Strasse and and after 2 km, turn rechts to the Hohenzollernstrasse. After 100m, drive to the Schwere-Reiter-Strasse and after 2 km, turn left to the Landshuter Allee/ Platz der Freiheit. After about 5 km, file in right and at the freeway connection point Munich Munchen-Sendling-Sud, turn to the highway A95 in direction Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
After about 54 km at the freeway junction Murnau / Kochel direction Steingaden (Fussen), turn to the ST 2062 and after about 10 km, turn left to the hoghway B2 and then directly right to the ST2062 in direction Murnau. Drive towards the direction Steingaden / Fussen past the Lake Staffelsee, after about 12 km, turn sharp right to the highway B23, and after 7 km, turn to the ST 2059.
Drive past the Wieskirche church which is located on the left side 9 km into the direction Steingaden / Fussen until you reach the highway B17. There, drive into the direction Fussen, about 18 km past Trauchgau and Buching until Schwangau.
Total distance from Munich airport to Schwangau: about 155 km

or route 2 starting at the Munich airport past the freeway A9, around Munich over the highway B471, freeway A96 and highway B17:
Starting at the Munich Munchen airport, drive about 22 km along the freeway A92 in direction of Munich Munchen. At the freeway junction Oberschleissheim, drive onto the highway B471/Dachauer Strasse in direction of Karlsfeld/Rothschweig. After about 40 km at the feeway junction Inning, drive onto the freeway A96 in direction of Landsberg at the Lech river. After about 47 km at the highway junction Landsberg a. Lech, turn west to the highway B17 in direction of Schongau. After about 25 km at the highway junction Schongau Nord, drive straight ahead to the highway "B17 Neu" in direction of Schongau. After 10 km, drive straight ahead to the highway B17. Then, drive about 30 km passing Trauchgau and Buching until you reach Schwangau.
